Client: Australian Asbestos Network
Year: 2010 - 2012
The Australian Asbestos Network website brought together historical, public health and medical information targeting Australian households about the potential dangers of a third wave of asbestos-related illness across the country.
The site was created by a team of journalists and historians working with experts in the medical and public health fields, advocates and legal practitioners, as well as those directly affected – workers, families and carers.
Supported by a National Health and Medical Research (NHMRC) grant, the Australian Asbestos Network’s website resource aimed to assemble authoritative information authenticated by experts and independent of any commercial interest.
No Crumbs Communications provided strategic communications planning, support and execution of all communications leading up to, and following the launch of the website resource. This included creating new content across various media channels, and developing social media campaigns to increase overall awareness of the issues.
The project received a Highly Commended Award from the Public Relations Institute of WA.
