MEET THE TEAM

If you decide to work with No Crumbs Communications, it’s good to know that the person who impressed you during the pitch is the person you will be working with. Sending in the big guns to win your business and then putting a junior to work on your project? Well that’s just not how we roll at No Crumbs Communications.

We want happy and satisfied clients, with relationships founded on mutual trust and respect, and we work hard to achieve that. So on that note – read on to meet the team.

Zoë Croft

Zoë Croft

Technical and Strategic Communications – BA(Hons)

Zoë is the founder of No Crumbs Communications. A stakeholder engagement and strategic communications professional with over 25 years’ experience, she has worked with clients ranging from blue chip companies and government agencies to family run businesses and boutique start-ups in London, Sydney and Perth.

Shaping content to effectively communicate the client’s message is the foundation of everything Zoë does for her clients. This includes developing website content, writing and editing award submissions, policies and technical documentation, communications strategies and more.

In particular, Zoë is known across the infrastructure sector in Western Australia for her talent in developing industry responses to government requests for tenders. She has perfected the dark art of pulling together content from multiple sources and technical disciplines, and shaping it into a coherent narrative – always within a tight deadline.

Zoë’s strategic thinking is not only recognised by her grateful fur-babies Sapphie and Tigerlilly, following installation of an intricate system of internal cat doors in her home to escape Lulu the dog, but also by the Public Relations Institute of WA for her co-role with Murdoch University in developing the highly commended, “the Enduring Impacts of Asbestos” campaign.

She is also a Main Roads WA Communications panel member.

Louise Richardson

Louise Richardson

Community Relations Strategist – BA (Hons)

Louise has spent more than two decades helping clients connect with their stakeholders and communities to achieve the best possible outcome for their projects.

The tools she uses range from workshops to online platforms, face-to-face meetings to round table discussions, but the aim is always the same – to kick start conversations and build relationships.

Using her background as a journalist and communications consultant to present and share information, Louise has helped guide many organisations evolve from the decide and defendmodel through to a more mutually beneficial inclusive, collaborative model.

From masterplanned communities to infrastructure projects, contentious issues to organisational change, Louise has the experience that demonstrates how the best outcomes are always achieved through dialogue and discussion.

Gary Knights

Gary Knights

Website & Brand Design – Dip

While common or garden web designers are ten a penny these days, good web designers are rarer than hen’s teeth. Luckily, we found one.

Gary is the definition of a ‘good web designer’ – the technical knowledge and expertise is a ‘given’, it’s the understanding of how a client’s online presence contributes to achieving their goals that sets them apart.

Gary’s strategic approach is the antithesis of “If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail”, where too often a website is seen as the answer to every question.

Instead, Gary focuses on the right tool for the job to ensure that the best possible outcome and ROI is achieved.

His toolbox includes digital strategies from websites, eDM and banner campaigns, to SEO, SEM and social media. The cherry on top is Gary’s ability to fully understand the brand and brand values of a client, ensuring these strategies reach their full potential both offline and online.

Chris Hoppen

Chris Hoppen

Digital Designer – BA (Hons)

Marrying creativity with technical expertise is the key to good digital design, and this is the essence of what Chris brings to No Crumbs Communications.

A digital designer with more than twenty years’ experience, Chris combines creative solutions with technical functionality.

What does this mean in plain English? On Planet Chris you don’t have to sacrifice good looks for functionality – you can have both.

Chris can also go Old School – with a passion for print design and photography complementing his technical understanding of UI and UX.

We think it’s a winning combination.

Media Strategy

We mean this in the nicest possible way – when it comes to media relations “it takes a thief to catch a thief” …

May we introduce Nicole Cox – an award–winning media professional with more than 20 years’ experience in journalism, media and communications roles.

Nicole is No Crumbs Communications’ ‘go to’ for media strategy, media liaison, crisis management, public relations and content creation.

Remember when Rio Tinto destroyed ancient caves containing 46,000-year-old Aboriginal artefacts at Juukan Gorge WA’s Pilbara region in 2020? Well, you probably know about that thanks to the media campaign Nicole developed and implemented for the Puutu Kunti Kurrama Pinikura Aboriginal Corporation.

Over her award-winning career Nicole has provided strategic communications and media relations to a range of businesses and organisations, including not-for-profits, health care, aged care, property, Aboriginal affairs and small business.

Phil is No Crumbs Communications’ secret weapon (okay, not so secret now because we just told you about him).

A qualified civil engineer with near 30 years’ experience, Phil ensures that we don’t let our flair for creativity get in the way of technical accuracy when it comes to working with clients to develop winning bids and submissions.

Passionate about the potential for collaboration to deliver great outcomes, Phil’s work has been recognised through IAP2, CCF and the Australian Institute of Engineering.
